Monday Morning Inspiration
Good Morning My Beautiful Link Sisters,
I hope that you had an absolutely amazing Christmas and that your week is off to an amazing start!
Can you believe that Christmas 2021 has come and gone? Wow, yes it has but I hope that the spirit of Christmas still lingers in your heart and your minds. I wish this simply because Christmas is the holiday that we celebrate Jesus’ birthday. According to the Biblical Legend, He was sent to save us from our sins and ourselves. It is because He lives that we can be forgiven of our sins over and over and over again.
Friends let’s never forget the real meaning of Christmas. Let’s remember why we really celebrate Christmas. It’s because He lives that our sins can be forgiven and washed away. It is because He lives that we have the opportunity to live the lives that we have become accustomed to. It’s because He lives that we are daughters, sisters, wives, mothers, aunts, mentors, leaders, business owners, and more. It’s because He lives!
It’s because He lives that on “November 9, 1946, Margaret Rosell Hawkins and Sarah Strickland Scott, two young Philadelphia visionaries, co-founded The Links, Incorporated.” It’s because He lives that their vision lives on through us as so many others! It’s because He lives!
As this famous song lyric reads: Because he lives I can face tomorrow Because he lives all fear is gone Because I know He holds the future And life is worth the living just because He lives As I was writing my thoughts and listening to this song, I began to think that Jesus was sent to carry out the plans that God had for him. This means that God chose and sent us also. He sent us to do all that we do for our families, our friends, our jobs, and our organization. So, when we were chosen and sent, it makes sense that all things were aligned long before we were aware. Both the good and the bad were ready for us long before we were here. God knew that He could count on us to do exactly what we were chosen to do and exactly how He would have us do it. So, let’s never be fooled to think we are doing anything on our own. It’s because He lives and because we were chosen. So, let’s continue to answer the call and be up to the challenge. Let’s continue to carry out the vision that God gave to our founders. Let’s remember that just like God chose Jesus and our founders, He chose us. Let’s remember we are here, saved and forgiven because He lives!!
Today’s Prayer: God, we thank you for choosing Jesus to save us from our sins and ourselves. Thank you for sending him as an amazing example of how and when we should follow you. We know we are not perfect but our desire is to follow you, do your will, and do it your way. God help us never to forget that so much is all because your son, Jesus lives. It’s because He lives that we can face every day. It’s because He lives that we can do all that you have assigned us to do and help us do it without fear. It’s because He lives that we are saved!! It is because He lived and died to buy our pardon. It’s because your son, Jesus lives and in his name, we say Amen!
Today’s Scriptures: Matthew 1:21 NIV “21She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus because he will save his people from their sins.”
Romans 5:1-5 NIV “5 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”
