A Message from the President

Welcome to the Birmingham (AL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. For 70 years, our Chapter has worked alongside community partners to uplift, empower, and strengthen Birmingham through service, leadership, and advocacy.

As you visit our website, we invite you to explore the impact of our work, learn about the communities we serve, and discover how our programs continue to create meaningful change throughout our city. Chartered in 1956, the Birmingham (AL) Chapter proudly holds the distinction of being the first chapter of The Links, Incorporated in the State of Alabama.

Through our facets of Services to Youth, The Arts, National Trends and Services, International Trends and Services, and Health and Human Services, we have remained committed to addressing community needs and expanding opportunities for those we serve. Our members are accomplished professional women, leaders, advocates, and changemakers whose collective talents, expertise, and dedication have helped shape a stronger Birmingham for generations. Through strategic partnerships, innovative programming, and hands-on community engagement, they dedicate their time, talents, and resources to improving the quality of life for Birmingham residents.

Today, our work continues through our umbrella initiative, Linking to Lift: Pathways to Food Security, where we provide education, opportunity, and access for all while addressing one of the most critical needs facing our community.

As our 70th Anniversary Celebration unfolds, we will share stories, photographs, milestones, and moments of impact that reflect both our rich history and our enduring commitment to Birmingham. We invite you to join us as we celebrate seven decades of service, honor our members and community partners who helped build our legacy, and showcase the work that continues to make a difference in our city today
