Good Morning My Beautiful Link Sisters!
I hope your day is already off to an absolutely amazing start.
Wow, as I was searching for and reading scripture, an interesting thought came to mind; ‘what a unique group of individuals we have in our chapter.” We have Link sisters from various parts of the city, state and country. Link sisters from various family backgrounds, various educations, various occupations and various interests. My how unique and a well-rounded chapter we are. Because of our uniqueness we make a really beautiful and very interesting puzzle. Each piece is authentic, shaped differently, different shades of brown, different heights, different weights, different hairstyles and most importantly different team contributions. We would be a pretty boring group if we were all the same and we would likely not be as progressive as we are and as we have been in the past.
With that said, it is important for us to know that the part the we play (the piece that we represent) is very, very important. If we were not all contributing and doing our level best to do our part, we would be missing pieces of The Birmingham Chapter’s Puzzle.

So, sisters let’s vow to never be the missing piece. We need each other and we need every puzzle piece that we each represent to ensure that there is no void. We need every puzzle piece and we need every piece to be active, so that we can be an example of the brilliant, cohesive, dedicated and professional women of The Links, Incorporated. We need every puzzle piece so that we can be complete.
If by chance, there is a puzzle piece missing, let’s check on her. Let’s be sisterly and ensure that we reach out to pull that sister back in. That is how we show sisterly love. That is how we ensure that we never have a missing piece of our puzzle. Having each piece of The Birmingham Chapter of The Links Incorporated’s puzzle intact allows us to continue to be the successful and award- winning chapter that we are.
Remember a missing puzzle piece for us is like a missing link. A missing link can stand between us and our destination and cause us to be off balance. Don’t be the missing link and don’t allow a sister to drift away. Remember to always reach out and ensure our puzzle in beautiful, complete, and vibrant with strong links that can never be broken. Let’s stay together!

Today’s Prayer: God, we thank you for this day. Thank you for allowing us to wake up this morning and breathe your fresh air and see the light of day. We thank you for allowing us to have the opportunity to be a part of such an amazing organization. Thank you for trusting that we could work together to advance youth, families and communities. Thank you for helping us to understand that we can’t do this without you and without each other. So, help us to never allow a link to be missing. If by chance any of us get off course, help us to work together as the Link Sisters that we are to ensure that our missing puzzle piece, our missing link is reconnected to our friendship chain. We love you, Lord. Lead and guide each of us individually and collectively so that we can continue to do your work and be in your will.
