Monday Morning Inspiration

Good morning my beautiful Link Sisters.
I hope all has been well for you and your families and I hope your week is off to an amazing start. I heard this poem a few weeks ago as graduates at our church were being honored and encouraged as they move on to their next chapters. As I listened intently, I thought it was a must share. I am sure that many of you have heard it or read it before. However, I considered this a great reminder of who we are, why we are, and who God intends for us to be. Simply put, we are role models and we should not be afraid to shine. It’s not boasting. It’s just a fact, so let’s continue to live up to it. Yes, we were meant to shine, so others can see past their fears, follow our paths, and move ahead without hesitation. Let’s continue to shine bright so other can see who and what they can be. Let’s allow our lights to overflow to light the path for others.
Our Deepest Fear, By Marianne Williamson
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness That most frightens us. We ask ourselves Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small Does not serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking So that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, As children do. We were born to make manifest The glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; It’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we’re liberated from our own fear, Our presence automatically liberates others.
Today’s Scriptures
Matthew 5:16 NIV
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Titus 2:7-8 “In all things show yourself to be an example of good deeds, with purity in doctrine, dignified, sound in speech which is beyond reproach, so that the opponent will be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.”
Today’s Prayer God help us to always be the role models that you have chosen us to be. Help us to realize that we are wonderfully made to lead others to where you would have them to be. Help to always let our lights shine so that we continuously light the pathway for others. As we encourage others outside of the organization help us to remember to lift up and encourage each other. Help us to be confident about who you have made each of us to be, where you have led us and where you will continue to guide us. We look forward to continuing to do your work by being the lights and the leaders that you have allowed us to be.
