Good Morning My Beautiful Link Sisters!
I hope you had an amazing weekend and that your week is already off to an awesome start.
I found something very pertinent for our chapter or at least I think it is. If I have to say so myself, we can certainly be described by the adjectives listed in the art below. We are all of these things because we are blessed to be and we are all of these things because God said so. Because of who He is and who He ordained us to be we can be an to others. It is because of him that we can be a resource to others. It is because of him that we are uniquely designed, beautiful black women who are loved by God and family, special in a multitude of ways, cared for because he allows us to cast our issues and anxieties on him, lovely from top to bottom, precious pearls with wisdom, strong because of life’s experiences, important because we are wonderfully made, forgiven because Jesus suffered for our sins, protected because He is our shield and chosen because of the work that He has designed for us to accomplish. Simply put, God says we are. So, let’s embrace our gifts and talents with every ounce of energy that we have and let’s continue to use all of them to advance our chapter and our community.
Since God says we are all of these things and we are actually all of these things, then it should be very simple for each of us to live up to our core values. “Our core values are friendship, integrity, honesty, service, commitment, family relationships, courage, respect for self and others, legacy, confidentiality, responsibility, and accountability.” I feel sure we all agree that we should easily be able to love each other, respect each other and treat each other with kindness.
Today’s Scriptures: “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32
“I’ve left you an example of how you should serve and take care of those who are weak. For we must always cherish the words of our Lord Jesus, who taught, ‘Giving brings a far greater blessing than receiving.” Acts 20:35
“There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.” 1 Corinthians 12:4-6
Today’s Prayer: Dear God, we thank you for this day. We thank you for allowing us to wake up this morning because we know we would not be here if it were not for your grace and your mercy. We thank you for our chapter and all of the families that are represented. Allow each of us and our families to be safe and protected from hurt, harm and danger. Allow us to be happy, healthy, whole and content with all that you have blessed us with individually and as a chapter. Father, we pray for health and wholeness for our chapter and all members of our great organization. And as always, we thank you for choosing us to serve our community and help us to always focus on living up to what your expectations are. Continue to order our steps. Help us to always remember the vows that we took and the responsibilities that we accepted when we all became integral parts of this organization. God we will always acknowledge that “we are because you say we are.” In Your Son Jesus’ Name, Amen.
