Monday Morning Inspiration

Good Morning My Beautiful Link Sisters and Good Morning Queens
I hope your day is off to an amazing start and that you and your families are doing well.
This morning I want to share something with you that you have possibly heard before. Remember you are a queen, so when life’s issues seem to get in the way just “adjust your crown.” God crowned you and there is nothing anyone can do or say that changes that. Because God crowned you, no one else can define who you are or what you are to do. He made that decision already.
As African American women, we find ourselves in some very interesting situations, especially in our jobs or in the professions that were chosen for us. Sometimes it is discrimination at its best. We often get a double dose. We experience it because of our race and because we are women. While this is our reality, another reality is that no matter what others say or do we are beautiful, we are queens and we should simply adjust our crowns and keep it moving. Don’t allow any distractions to cause you to forget that you are a queen and strong one, no matter what. Remember that you were crowned.
When life’s issues hit you from all directions, adjust your crown. If you allow self-doubt to creep in, adjust your crown. When someone else is promoted but you know you are more qualified, adjust your crown. Even when you get in your own way, own it and adjust your crown.
I realize that we are all professional, self-confident, forward-moving, upwardly mobile, all of these things and more. Even the most successful sometimes have setbacks. Even the most confident, get shaken and get off course. Even the strongest sometimes have moments of weakness. My friends, I know this can be easier said than done but “shake it off, adjust your crown and pass it on.
When we see others who seem to allow life’s issues to cause them to shut down or shake their self-esteem, help them to adjust their crowns. If you don’t know what to say or do ask God to lead you and use yourself as an example. Use your experiences to help others. Use your faith to help others. Use your crown to help others.
Today’s Personal Prayer: God I thank you for creating me, choosing me using me to help others, and crowning me as your chosen. Help me to always know who you have placed in my life to assist. Help me to do it in a manner that will not only be helpful to them but be pleasing to you. Help me not to miss any assignment that you have for me. Even if I feel off course, help me to adjust my crown and pass on all that you would have me to. May all of the work that I do be genuine. Help me to lead others to you so that they know that you live and because you live there is nothing we can’t face. Lead those that I assist to also pass it on. In your son Jesus’ name, Amen.
Today’s Scriptures: 1 Peter 2:9- “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.”
Matthew 28:18-20 “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Psalms 54:4 “Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is the upholder of my life.”
